The Go Fish Game

Last week, AfterSchool, played the game GO FISH. It was a new game for many, but enjoyed but all.

How to play: one must have cards of any theme and two of each card. I used animals. Shuffle the cards good and pass out 5 to 7 to each player. Students take turns asking if someone has their card. For example, “Ema do you have a dolphin?” If Ema has it, she says, yes and gives it to the one who asked, saying, “ Yes, I do. Here you are.” If not, then, “ No, I don’t. Go Fish or take one.” Then the one who asked takes one from the deck. The game continues until all cards are gone. The player with the most pairs wins.

This game is a great way to learn new vocabulary and get faster at asking questions!
