“May Day”

Nothing welcomes spring  like a dance around the Maypole

The old European tradition is still carried on today both in Europe and America.

Kids dances at the tall pole adorned with long streamers  is beautiful and joyous.

Dancing  and singing around the Maypole survived as part of the English tradition.

 

 

 

The children beautifully danced around .

Walking around the Maypole,walking around the Maypole, going round and round.

We substitute, dance skip for walk around the circle for added fun.
