Tanabata Celebration

I love the story of Tanabata. It’s a little sad but hopeful! The kids really seemed to understand and could join in with the class discussion. After the story, I read their wishes off the tree. They were happy to hear their wishes read!

  

Then after the screen story time and reading wishes off the tre, we sang the Tanabata song English and Japanese!

Bamboo leaves are swaying in the wind.

Rustle, Rustle by the eaves

Stars are shining over you,  Sparkling gold and silver light!
