Elephant Reading Levels Climb!

Every Tuesday, 1:00-2:00, Elephant class works on improving their reading skills. We started at the beginning of the year with learning the sounds of the alphabet and have moved all the way to books like this one. It is the same text used in elementary first grades in America!

The children are reading stories with short vowel words like : cat, wig, pen, log, etc. and basic sight words! In addition to the stories the children read poems, songs and discussion questions. In groups, we discuss the stories and give our opinions!
