Star Class Elephants Helping Make Decorations for Halloween

The kids were kind enough to get together and teach each other how to make these ring ornaments.

It was interesting to see the sorts of patterns the children made. Some alternated orange and black. Some did three black, three orange, three black. And some appeared to have no plan at all!

 

Or maybe his or her programming was to high for me too see.

Anyways it became a very wonderful lesson on patterning and seeing how children think differently.

Wow! It always amazes me how children organize their thinking!
