La Tomatina Event Day

La Tomatina Day is a special event that for 1 hour only you get to throw tomatoes to each another! How much fun does that sound? Or does that sound messy? Star Class enjoyed a short video presentation all about tomatoes. We looked at different colored tomatoes, and tomatoes growing on the vine. We watched a short video of the festivities in Spain; people throwing tomatoes at each other.

Next it was time to make our own tomato. We made a fan. It is very cute! We can write with our markers in different colors.

Lastly, we got to throw “tomatoes” to each other. Girls and boys separated into different groups and threw as many tomatoes as they could at each other. There was a lot of laughing, screaming and fun as each student participated.
