It was a butterfly!!

On Saturday morning we found that from the cocoon, a butterfly came out!

 

From the colours on the top of its wings, we can tell that this was a male butterfly.

 

In English it is called a “tiger swallowtail butterfly”. These butterflies love to eat parsely (no surprises there!) or carrot leaves.

The kids are excited to see what we can find in the garden next.
