Quiet Reading Time

After a busy morning full of playing and running around outside, participating in their lessons, Sunshine class had a quiet moment to enjoy some quiet reading.

The younger children really enjoy touching the pages, and looking at the pictures. They like to sit down and show the teachers what they can see; ANIMALS, or a PLANE or a DOLLY.

The older children in Mouse class are keen to learn new words or sing a nursery rhyme. They have learnt to sit quietly reading a book; exploring colours, counting bugs and even swapping books once they have finished reading.

It is a lovely time to sit quietly with children teaching new words, or singing a song and even watching children talking amongst themselves about what they can see. It is fun to read books together.
