Bye bye Sunflower! August 25th

The rainstorm from last week drowned our sunflowers, but it gave us the chance to examine the root structure of our sunflower.

First we pulled it up out of the dirt together, and brushed away the dirt.

 

Next we washed the remaining dirt away.

 

Afterwards during lesson time we got to examine it again as a class.
