What is ABC order?

During morning English lesson we almost always have Phonics time. There are three levels. 1. Matching alphabet letters to words with their sounds. 2. Three letter short vowel words and 3. Beginning sight words, long vowel words and short vowel words in sentences. All children have the chance to do all levels, as we do them together.
   

Recently, we have been talking and thinking about ABC order. On Monday we did an activity where the children randomly were given cards and had to line up in order. (The children did this activity in September but it was a little difficult then.) On Monday, they had much improved. After that, they came to the front and said the letter, sound and picture name on their card.

                                                
It’s amazing how well the children have picked up phonics this year!
